Therapy for adolescents
Adolescence is a crucial developmental stage where young people are beginning to encounter the world. Mental health difficulties predominantly emerge first in adolescence.
As well as growing independence; young people often experience challenges around fitting in with peers and society, identity, body image, relationship & family difficulties, bullying, eating problems, pressure to succeed and sexuality.
Conflict between parents and their children often surfaces during adolescence; having a psychotherapist work with young people and, on occasion, their parents, can lead to a much healthier and happier home environment.
